We all know that the Philippines is one of the top countries in the world at risk of climate-related disasters. For populations subsisting at the poverty line in particular, but also the nation as a whole, daily lives and well being are routinely challenged. One of the reason is the location of the Philippines he Philippines is the fourth most at-risk country in the world in terms of climate-related natural disasters, such as typhoons, sea level rise, flooding and extreme temperature. It is one of the top three countries in the world for population exposure and has the largest proportion of capital investment and stock along coastlines.
During strong disasters the Philippines Government, and local NGOs are all making attempts to address disasters at various level. Outside of the cities, the farmers and fishermen are most affected by natural disaster. With one-third of the population working in agriculture. Natural disaster also threaten food security and major sources of livelihood. Many local NGOs conducts many activities to support and help Filipinos that is affected by disaster. Others also help each other call bayanihan.
