AN OPEN LETTER FOR PRESIDENT DUTERTE

July 12, 2018

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
President of the Philippines
MalacaƱang Palace, Manila

Dear Mr. President,

As a student, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to our beloved president of the Philippines. First of all I appreciate all good doings you've done to our country especially on war on drugs not onluthat but you also implemented numerous programs which is beneficial for the less fortunate Filipinos and making our economy grow.

For the past administrations who reign in our country, you're the only one who have the determination to stop illegal drugs. Because we all know that drugs is one of the causes of many crimes on Philippines. I can say that it is effective because crimes except homicide in the Philippines dropped by 21.8% in 2017. Also the program of not smoking in public in public places that can cause ill to our health. I would like to thank you also for prioritizing education on national budget for 2018 because as a student of public school I can say that that there are still some problems in schools, like classrooms, because in our school(Ilocos Sur National High School), we have no sufficient classroom for all because of huge amount of enrollees and that's the reason why we have so called "shifting"in our school wherein Grade 9 students will come early in the morning(as early as 6:00 am where there is no still public transportation in our place). On the other hand, Grade 10 students will come at afternoon and will end at 6:45 pm which is late for students who lives in remote areas because of transportation problem. Another problem that public school encounters is lack of materials like transformers especially in our school, every classroom should have only 2 electric fans which is not enough for classrooms that is overpopulated, students cannot concentrate on their lessons. Hoping tht you will increase the monthly salary for teachers so that they can teach us well and no reasons that they become lazy and easy to get mad. I can see that this administration has many good plans for our country unlike other administrations who only seek for mistakes of the past and get revenge.

But even you have the best plan to improve or change our country Mr. President, I believe you should have the right attitude and shouldn't have to utter bad words for us to emulate. We should not forget our God who created us and we should not use his name for non-sense things or calling him "stupid". But as I said earlier I believe in your administration that you can change our country, continue your good plans and programs even some people criticize you. I hope also that you won't break your promises. That's all Mr. President Thank you for lending your time to read this simple letter. God bless you always and your plans.

Respectfully Yours,
Mark James Marzan
